About a year ago, she had hair straightening done at another salon.
She also had a history of lighter hair color, a perm, and previous bleaching.
Her hair thickness and curl strength were fairly average, but the mid-lengths had lost some elasticity due to previous straightening treatments.
The ends, in particular, had become quite fragile.
She was also concerned about the short, frizzy hairs appearing on the surface of her hair.
When hair has a complicated treatment history like this, applying the same chemicals and using the same technique from roots to ends can place unnecessary stress on already weakened areas.
With Coconut Hair Straightening® at melco, we carefully assess the strength, elasticity, and curl pattern of the roots, mid-lengths, and ends separately.
We then adjust the amount of chemical and technical strength needed for each area. 🥥
Around the face and at the roots, where the curls were stronger, we focused on straightening the hair properly.
For the mid-lengths and ends, where previous chemical treatments had already caused more stress, we used a gentler approach to avoid adding unnecessary damage.
We also carefully treated the short, frizzy hairs on the surface by adjusting the way heat was applied according to the condition of the hair.
