We often receive these kinds of questions.
Many people want to continue enjoying bleached or colored hair while also controlling waves, frizz, and unwanted volume.
Today, we would like to introduce a client who received Coconut Hair Straightening®︎ for the first time in about three years while still having previously bleached hair through the ends.
Many People Worry About Straightening Bleached Hair
Bleached hair is generally more sensitive to chemicals and heat.
Because of this, some clients have experienced situations such as:
- Being refused hair straightening because of bleach

The Client’s Hair Before Treatment
This client had received Coconut Hair Straightening®︎ about three years earlier.
Since then, she had continued coloring her hair darker, but some previously bleached hair still remained through the ends.
Around the roots, there were approximately three years of newly grown hair with noticeable waves and unwanted volume.
The ends, however, were in a very different condition.
They showed:
- Dryness
- Tangling
- Rough texture
- Difficulty staying smooth and manageable
In other words, even within the same head of hair, the roots and ends required very different treatment.
The roots consisted mainly of newer, healthier hair, while the ends still carried the effects of previous bleaching.

We adjusted the chemical strength between the roots and ends and also controlled the way heat was applied according to the condition of each section.
